Dear all, apologies for reposting a previous question, I’m not always sure of the etiquette on forums so please ignore if needs be.

I’m looking for a replacement hour hand for this: 2530FFCD-9A78-41D4-AB98-04C5DF858583.jpeg

which matches the others; like this: 4C523465-C841-484A-992C-F40493D4972B.jpeg

It’s for a 520 movement. Firstly, is it something you would recommend doing? And if so could someone please point me in the direction of where I could obtain a hand / set of hands if possible? - I’ve looked online and my watchmaker said he wouldn’t be able to get one from his suppliers. It’s not the end of the world but would be nice to do sometime in the future if I can.

Thanks again, and I will try to contribute back to the forums, with my limited knowledge, when I can.

Thanks for trying. Interestingly the case doesn’t appear to be in the Omega vintage database either. Ah well, worth a go!

Finding some dauphine hands is not really complicated. Leaf probably a litlle more. Originally there are some lead hands if I remember well. I almost have the same one. I'll have a look at the ref in the bible tomorrow.

Would the hand style the OP is looking for be more properly called lance or lance alpha based on the minute hand?

I was basing my question on the attached. It's a bit historical, but shows both types ;)

I thought leaf hands were more curved as below (not my watch!)

This is where it all got a bit confusing! The name of the hands, do they match the case or is it to fit the movement... I didn’t know what to look for.

The most important thing is to have the right "hole size" 1,5 mm for the hours and 0,8 mm for the minutes on a 520 if I don't make any mistake.
then you'll have to try to find the best lenght.

Thanks a lot for your help. I had a look on there but because it didn't say for a 520 I wasn't sure.

The 470 caliber also has 1,5/0,8 holes. check the length. I can't find the ref but it really looks like a pre deville. Same case shape, probably the international collection.

Great, I know what I’m looking for now. Probably best to refine my search to here in the UK and see what I can find. @Kwijibo do you have a picture of your watch? Just for a nosey more than anything! I really like the simplicity of them. Cheers.
