With our personal love for sports chronographs, we were very pleased to see the Baselworld novelties from TAG Heuer. Especially the TAG Heuer Carrera CH80 chronograph. Wow, that's a good looking watch! Are we sure it's an in-house caliber or another design licensed from somebody else?
Yes, all in-house. They learned from their 1887 PR goof I think. I think that Chevenez plant is new and devoted to this movement in support of TAGHeuers bid to become the dominant chronograph house. Interesting to see them coming out with such a strong design using the original Primero dial layout, while Zenith muddles it up with overlapping dials and wandering dates, limited (in today's context of watch sizes) by the size of the movement.
