Earlier this year, I was asked to write an article for Omega’s Lifetime Magazine about the Trilogy watches. Including the Speedmaster 311.10.39.30.01.001 of course. From the first moment on, I was thrilled by this watch and I didn’t need much time to order one for myself. As I am writing this, I am waiting for […]

Great article, thank you. It pays a tribute to the fantastic job performed by the Omega team. As said, a few things could have been made differently, such as the bracelet and, above all, the clasp. But overall, it is the reedition we all had been waiting for.

"It isn’t just one screw that has to go in, no, Omega uses two smaller screws that meet each other in the middle."
Huh? Did Omega change the system again or is this just an assumption by someone that hasn't actually adjusted the bracelet themselves?

That someone is me and no, I didn't assume, I resized the bracelet. Two smaller screws per link.

It's the same on the Seamaster Professional. One tiny screw on either side of the link hold in a wire pin. Both have to come out in order to push the wire pin out.

Correct. I was left by a bunch of tiny parts to keep somewhere until they fetch the watch again from me ;-)

That's what I thought. The wording implied the two screws met each other inside the link, which they certainly don't. The screws are little caps that hold in a pin.

Some (a lot actually) people asked me what the size of this watch is from lug-to-lug and how it compares to the standard Moonwatch. It is 48mm, the same as the Moonwatch. It appears longer though, as the shape of the end of the lugs is different (straight) from the Moonwatch (pointy).
