Are these hands correct to this model? I'm irritated about the lume on the black part of the hands. Ralph
Those look like moon watch hands painte to look like mark ii hands. Shame. It's usually the other way around. Mark II hands do show up on ebay now and again, so doesn't need to be a show stopper. The rest looks nice. Very nice T dial. I'm not sure about the other hands. They look good, but don't know if they're modern replacements. With the lengths someone went to on the hour and minute hand, there's a few maybe's there.. This one is all restored, all new parts.
The owner says, these were the original hands. Can't believe this, but the watch looks not like built new...
Look at the hands on the one I posted. Notice how the hour hand is fatter, and that on both, the ends are a little stubbier? Those are the traits of mark ii hands. I don't know if these could be original and just different. I doubt it. Maybe replaced a long time ago or something.
