I am looking for a new watch box made from wood for 6-8 watches, handmade if possible since I like the rugged look. And I also like the idet of supporting small local cratfsmen. I have come across several but any of you have favourties? :) Pics would be greatly appreciated

My wife had this made by a local guy..... mounts flush to the wall (very solidly) and holds 15 of my favorites.

I've been thinking about a steel and (thick) glass coffee table for the living room that would double as a display case.. ;)

Something I could lock, would resist a hammer and that I could bolt to the floor..

You can usually find such things on etsy.com, I like that the site connects you directly to the craftsman/woman. Many are willing to do custom pieces if you have something special in mind. Here's an example I pulled up quickly:

    https://www.etsy.com/listing/120678504/wc-108-french-roast-styled-watchcase?ga_order=price_desc&ga_search_type=handmade&ga_view_type=gallery&ga_search_query=watch box&ref=sr_gallery_8

It's expensive, but you can find boxes at all price points on the site.

I don't love this box, but the builder seems to include secret compartments in some of his boxes, could be helpful for hiding recent acquisitions from the wife until I find the right time to come clean :)

I find all sorts of stuff on etsy, I bought a watch roll there too a while back.

I didn't know etsy so thanks ( wife knows it though and buys all sorts of things there) :) A lot of nice things there. Found several who hand craft watch boxes. I ended up buying an old cigar case on Ebay though for $5, so now I have a little project going turning it intro a watch box. I am not much of a handyman, so it will probably end up looking like shit :taunt:

And a repurposed cigar humidor, it's at a 30 degree slant and perfect for a display case.
