    Hello OF-

I need a set of hands for my 68 Speedy.

    1. Should I purchase new hands and send them into LA Watchworks to have tritium added to color match. Anyone have experience with this? Before and after pics?
    2. Do they use actual tritium or paint?
    3. Will they paint the hands to an off white? New hands look so sterile white.
    4. Are replacement hands the same dimensions as old? Or do I need to purchase an old set...

    Thank you for your help!

You should call them and ask about 1-3.

    4. Original minute hand that would go on a -68 has a curve. New service parts are straight. (Just something to consider).

Here are a few examples of their work, the tritium on the dials is original, the hands have been matched. The texture and colour are about as good as it gets for this kind relume work.

LAWW is highly regarded for their Rolex color-matched hands, but I haven't yet seen Speedmasters done by them. James Hyman in the UK does a lot of Omega stuff, and can give you any degree of "glow" you want.

I agree. James Hyman is very good. You can ask luminous material or non glowing material..
