    Hello
The wristwatch has just been serviced. I especially love the minimalist dial and the 10k RGP mono shell case.
Would you tell me if this is an US cased with ETA 2390 movement. Here are some pictures took by me but the FIRST one (old ad/catalog for Sea Mate II?) is credited “Hamilton chronicles blog”
    Thank you

    Hi
Thank you for quick reply
This ad photo is borrowed from chronicleshamilton blog. I cannot date this picture. Sory for that.
My watch is clearly powerd by an ETA 2390 caliber and I knew that by early 1970s Hamilton began making their watches in Switzerland. But what i am not sure is whether my Sea Mate II Hamilton is US cased or not.
Anyway let’s take in account that on the dial there is only SWISS marking instead of the more usual SWISS MADE.

Star Watch Case Company was a US based maker based in Michigan.

Pretty certain all US Hamilton operations ceased in 1969 with the closure of the Lancaster factory.

The catalog photo is probably originally pulled from the database at vintagewatchforums of Hamilton dealer catalogs that one of their members scanned in. Great resource for finding different models.

I'm sure others will be more informed than me but I think that's all correct. They made the Sea Mate II in the late 60s. Star Watch company cased them and the Hamilton 688 movement is based on an ETA. Agree with @connieseamaster that the scan probably came from vintagewatchforums. HandyDan of Hamiltonchronicles is a member and I'm sure could help. Good luck and nice watch.
