For sale is my 1930 Hamilton Perry powered by a 17 jewel 987F movement. I've owned this watch for approximately six years now. I used to wear this watch quite a lot but it's been out of my rotation for the last several years and it's time for it to move on to a new owner.

The dial sports an older redial and has been relumed. The case shows brassing and the back has heavy wear. I'm guessing the original owner had acidic skin by the kind of wear it shows. The movement runs well and keeps good time, though it is in need of a service. It has a DeBeers calf skin band on it.

I'm asking $125 for this one but I am open to offers.

Sold for $100

Are you sure that’s a relume? That looks pretty damn good to me.

It is not radium, it is the wrong color, and it still glows. Thanks though.

@gatorcpa contacted me and believes my dial has been redialed at some point. He showed me this photo of his own Perry before restoration for comparison. You'll notice that his script has serifs, which lines up with the other Hamiltons of this vintage I own, while the script on mine is sans serifs. This definitely casts doubt on mine being original, so I'd say that mine is sporting an older redial.

Well, your full disclosure is laudable- but I still think it’s a damn good looking watch for a redial.

Thanks JW, it does present well on the wrist as well.
