Happy New Year, everyone. My wife's New Year's Resolution this year is, "Myron will follow a strict one-in-one-out rule." I successfully negotiated to being able to buy first, sell later (ie, immediately after the new watch arrives), so now my lovely little Hamilton Chrono-Diver is up for sale.

These pop up from time to time, but you are unlikely to see one that has been recently comprehensively serviced. This past March I had this watch serviced by renowned vintage chronograph specialist Kelly Hunter at Art Of The Watch in Portland, Oregon, to the tune of $465. It runs perfectly and has had a brand new crystal installed. The receipt for this service will accompany the watch. Since getting the watch back from Kelly, I've worn it exactly four times. To work. In an office.

One little idiosyncrasy to note is that the minutes register increments when the sweep hand reaches 59 seconds. It came back from the service like this and never bothered me. If you think it might bother you, please don't buy this watch. But if you can overlook this, this is a dandy watch in great shape. The watch runs and keeps time very well -- anywhere between +3 and +6 spd, and check out the amplitude at above 300 degrees. This is excellent for a Valjoux 7733.

You will note the watch's general condition from my photos. Lots of little nicks here and there on the 38 mm case, and a little wear to the bezel edge, but nothing too egregious. There are few very minor blemishes on the dial. Nothing particularly noticeable on the wrist. The handset, crown, bezel, and pushers are correct for this watch, although you will notice the bezel's pip is missing (common for these Chrono-Divers unfortunately). As I said above, the crystal is brand new, so it's perfect. You will also note that the chronograph pushers are the correct and very unusual triangular lobe-shaped pushers. These are original to the watch (so when you see this model with round pushers, you know they've been replaced). The bezel is friction style, and this one's just on the loose side of medium I'd say. Nothing that bothers me, but it might bother you so I mention it. I can tell you I've seen waaaay looser. Also, please note the crown sits proud of the case by about one millimeter when it is pushed all the way in. Despite Hamilton's model name for this watch, you probably don't want to take it diving. :)

Your watch comes on a lightly-worn Horween shell cordovan strap and with the service receipt pictured. I have many years' worth of successful buy/sell/trade transactions on this and other fora. Please check my references on WUS, Omega Forums, and MWR.

I am looking for $995 for this watch, OBRO. I will ship it in the US via Priority Mail and absorb the PayPal fees for this price. Payment by PayPal only, please. I'll consider international shipping, but at your cost and risk. Finally, since I am a private collector and not a dealer, I will not accept a return unless the watch proves to be substantively different than my pictures show and/or how I've described here (which it won't, I assure you).

The only trade I would consider is straight across for a Damasko DA35.

    Thanks for looking!

    Myron
