A friend of my brother owns one, absolutely loves it but I think he wears it more of a dress piece. From everything I understand it definitely can fill that role, and it is one of the few *modern non-omega* watches that I would strongly consider wearing *on a regular basis*.

·I've owned both in the larger size but now own neither. They just weren't getting wrist time and frankly, I didn't like the lack of a screw down crown. Hamilton's quality is very good despite my irrational need for a screw down crown. If you are a huge fan of the movie Interstellar, the Murph is for you. Otherwise, either will suffice IMO. They are pretty good strap monsters, but look best on a leather strap.

·I have a hand wound Field. I don't beat up watches the way I did 60 years ago so haven't tested its ruggedness, but it's the newest watch I own and has never been opened so its waterproofing should be the best I have and it's the goto on rainy days. Or hot ones when I expect to get sweaty and want to dunk the aftermarket NATO into soapy water when I get home.

·I have had a 38mm auto for about 6-8 years and love it. Very versatile, and great for traveling as it works well with several strap options

·I have the big bow Murph and love it (though it wears big and I would buy the 38mm if I was doing it now). I did have to change the strap though, the leather strap that came with just never felt like it was going to wear in.

·I don't own either, so not sure my opinion counts, but I prefer the look of khaki. I think it's because it looks closer to milspec Hamilton field watches.

·I have the hand would khaki 38 and love it. Looks great, cheap so I don’t have to worry about banging it up, great for travel. But I also have come to wear it quite regularly around town. Really can’t think of a negative thing to say about it.

·Agree with others that the original strap wasn’t great IMHO so got a few cheap Amazon straps.

I’d prefer the 38mm and I’m 6’4.
The newly famous person who wears this appears to wear the smaller one as well.

·I'll be the devil's advocate and will say that I am not a fan of the Khaki Field. I own it and it gets no wear because there's just too much glare. I don't know if the AR on the sapphire crystal is bad or the dial is reflecting too much light because of the angles but the glare is very annoying. I much rather have it on acrylic than crappy anti reflective coating.

·Traveled a bit off the beaten path and went to an AD for Hamilton (among other brands…not Omega though). Went in to shop styles with no intention of purchasing. I really expected that I’d love the Hamilton Murph. It’s a beauty and highly regarded among the Hamilton fans but it just didn’t speak to me. I figured the Khaki Field 38mm on a strap would come in a solid second place. It didn’t. However, that watch on bracelet (H70455133) sang to me in ways I didn’t expect. I didn’t even intend to look at that version. It is a solid watch with great dimensions for the price. It’s on the list for a someday future purchase. Here are the pics (with my Speedy in a few).

·I have the Kaki Field 38 with both the original strap and bracelet.
I have only worn it with the bracelet or other NATO straps, because for me they reflect its style better. A truly robust and balanced watch. I took it with me on my recent 2 week trip and it was a perfect companion. The H10 movement worked really well and remained perfectly synchronized all the way through.
The original strap is nice to look at but for me it doesn't match the watch perfectly. I'm thinking of buying a new black leather strap and seeing if it would suit my tastes better.
