Hairspring easily magnetized Omega 1040

Hello, I recently serviced my second Omega 1040 and everything works really well with the exception of the hairspring being very easily magnetized. When it is running without sticking together, things look great. When it is "magnetized" it obviously runs fast and has the classic time grapher magnetization symptoms.

I have tried to clean it a few times, including fresh L&R clean + rinse. Currently the only fix I have is to use the cheap blue demagnetizer many times until the hairspring becomes unstuck. Sadly this doesn't last very long. I suspect the hairspring needs adjustment?

Here is some video (looks like I cannot embed /shorts/ videos)

You may need a more powerful demagnetizer.

Regarding adjustment to the balance spring, to advise on that requires a focused photo of the balance at rest ( unwound, not hacked).

    Cheers, Al

Thanks Archer, I will try to get my hands on a more powerful degausser. I popped the balance out and snapped some photos. PXL_20220817_164614927.jpg PXL_20220817_164550517.jpg

The coils of the spring do not appear to be even. In the top photo where the arm of the balance is to the left, the coils there look closer together than they are 180 degrees for that location.
