·Hello, I recently serviced my second Omega 1040 and everything works really well with the exception of the hairspring being very easily magnetized. When it is running without sticking together, things look great. When it is "magnetized" it obviously runs fast and has the classic time grapher magnetization symptoms.
I have tried to clean it a few times, including fresh L&R clean + rinse. Currently the only fix I have is to use the cheap blue demagnetizer many times until the hairspring becomes unstuck. Sadly this doesn't last very long. I suspect the hairspring needs adjustment?
