    Dears,

I’m at the gym working out and reading some posts and I asked myself: is there a thread where people speak about gym/nutrition/exercises?

    Well, no.

So happy to start it :)

I think there is a picture somewhere of Mad Dog doing preacher curls with an Omega hardcover book. Hence the beefy biceps...

I tried it...but I needed a spotter. Turned out, he was a Rolex guy. Said my arms would be bigger, if I lifted the Rolex book. I said, and look like this?:

I've joined a gym for the winter. I cycle for fitness, & in winter it all goes to hell. So this year I'm trying to finish winter fitter than I started.

I never wear a watch to the gym. Does that even count as exercise??

I find it difficult to get symetric biceps. I am doing powercurls 3 times a week. Could it be all the helium in my divers watch making things uneven?

I hit the gym 4x a week, I run mainly strength/strongman programs. That said I'm not that strong :(

I have an ACE Fitness accreditation as well as to being a physical education teacher locally.

I am 54 and a former powerlifter/wrestler/Thaiboxer/bicyclist. Not been doing much the last 15 years. How should I train to be able to withstand the rigors of day long sessions of grappa drinking in the galleria, in Milano, once I retire - in 8 years? There might also be cigars involved if it Is not totally forbidden by then. Any advice?

My advice would be to forget about the Galleria in Milano and go to Alba. There you will find Marolo Grappa http://www.marolo.com/en/ some of the finest nectar made. Their aged grappa is incredible. You could buy yourself a nice little house in the country and live like a king. On top of that, you're not too far from Barbaresco and Barolo.

As for training, hit the Gin as much as you can for now.

I am doing 3X8cl reps of Zacapa for stamina and some cask strength Glenfarcla 2X4cl with a bit of water for winding down. Used to add more water but got bloated. Totally destroyed my definition.

If you want to increase the density, you could replace the water with ice but that's more for beginners.
