Case is pretty heavily polished, dial is nice. Pictures make the watch look yellow, not rose.

Crown is incorrect and the color doesn't match.

Early first generation connie - case ref. 2648 with nice dial, lightly refinished case and replacement crown. Otherwise a nice example if the movement condition is similarly good. I don't think the polish was that heavy - bezel looks nice (though the bezel fold was more pronounced in the 2648 compared to the later models) and the caseback did not have the words constellation or waterproof inscribed in them; also the lugs were thinner here. Case ref. 2648 more closely resembles the centenary case 2500 than the subsequent connie cases like the 2699, 2700, 2852 etc.

You need to tell us pricing and more to tell you go/no go. I can't be sure of the color from photos. May be rose as stated, which would make it more desirable. Case does not look too bad for early 354, movement images??

The crown is of no consequence here.

Could still be rose even with the difference in hue with the crown but could just as easily be yellow. The movement pictures would be helpful - to tell the condition of the movement as well as to help answer the question of whether it is yellow or rose gold.

For the condition, I'd say it's a few hundred too high if it isn't rose gold.

Then if that's a 2700 then I stand corrected and gator is correct - case has been polished too much.

That would bring the price down to about 2700 , if you wanted it. Bain is not going to give it away. You might consider paying 3700.......for a better watch. It is really up to you. No one would think less of you or the watch (we are are not snobs here) if you got if for a good price.

From the first dial photo, even though its not directly head on, the markers dont seem to line up precisely with the minute markers - so is it a redial.?

also, shouldnt it have hallmarks on the lugs, or was this only done on 5xx series models?

i may be well off target here, but happy to learn

    cheers, Paul

That's an original dial and the hallmark in the lug is there (bottom photo lower right lug).

Just due to the angle of photography.

There is a halmark on the lug

US$ 2700 is o.k. for that one. slightly tarnished YG connie with a pink gold capped crown. your correct YG capped crown will be around $ 100. imagine the hours you save, not looking for one..... and with Mr. Bain: make the offer. stand firm. times are tough..... kind regards. achim

I think i would take our members suggestions and wait.. Hope fully i will find that "the one"...
I really wish omega is selling these now... Personally none of the current gold filled watches look any where close to Deluxe to Grand Luxe.

Thanks for all the replies guys.... and sorry for too many inquiries. :)
