    Just preparing the 69 watch dial for posting stood up turned around caught my leg on the chair went flying dial went skidding across the floor scratched the S on speedmaster and chipped a tiny bit off the E

    Im gutted

    aw, man! that sucks! still looks like a nice dial though.

    if it makes you feel any better, i was trying to gently clean a set of 2998 alpha hands and the tip of the minute hand caught on the thing i was clean it with and bent in half. talk about gutted alright. tritium cracked and flew out. hands, wasted. :'(

    I can barely notice. You were planning on selling the dial by itself?

    By the way the dial sure does have a gloss. Do a lot of the step dials have this gloss to them?

    no if you notice the t swiss made t is missing i had it taken off the watch to be posted as a dial restorer was going to reprint it on the dial now im not going to bother

    Would the E even be noticeable with the chrono sweep hand installed?

    Statistically the chance of that happening is very low = you must be sending a high volume of dials out for reworking :D

    However, the dial still looks good and could have ended up much worse IMHO ... to quote from ‘Meaning of Life - Monty Python’ ...

    It did really upset me yesterday but now its another day accidents happen ill get it put back on the watch and re-cased and just wear it
