    Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if this watch from http://www.ebay.com/itm/151378258775?_trksid=p2059210.m2750.l2649&ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:ITPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network is legitimate. I purchased it without much research beforehand (ugh, the dial looked convincingly authentic) and I realized I could not find any information regarding Cosmic 2000s with the 751 calibre.

I'd appreciate your help in identifying the authenticity of this watch. Thank you.

Below are some pictures from the eBay listing.

Hmm, the cal 751 is a chronometer grade movement and as far as I know there was not a Cosmic chronometer. Are you sure it was a cal 751? The listing is not much help and hence I think the watch is a franken if indeed it houses a cal 751.

Could be a 752 and the only way you'll know is to have the watch opened. These watches open from the crystal.

    Cheers

    Desmond

    Agree with Desmond.

These particular models are hard to open and for that reason are often not serviced or tampered with (one bad thing and one good thing).

I doubt anybody would have gone to the trouble of changing the movement to a 751.

If you are going to get it checked or serviced, make sure the watchmaker knows what he's doing with this type of case. If he doesn't know all of the tricks it could end in disaster.

    Should be a caliber 1020/1022.

A 750/751/752 would have no separator bar between the day and date.
