How about a little Apollo era writing instrument giveaway in honor to the Evans flown Speedmaster auction.

Guess the final gavel price on the Evans Flown 145-022-69 Speedmaster Lot #15 and win this Garland P-35 Mechanical Pencil.

The closest guess (above or below in USD) to the final gavel price will receive this original 1960's Apollo era Garland P-35 mechanical pencil. This is the exact same model used by the astronauts during the Apollo missions. I will also include, inside the pencil, one 1" piece of flown lead from the shuttle flown pencil seen above, a shuttle era Garland mechanical pencil.

All entries must be posted by 6:00 EST. I will close the entries with a post at 12:00am Italian time.

The pencil at the bottom will be the prize. The lead from the flown pencil is contained in the pencil seen at the top with the gold cord and Velcro.

    Good luck....

If you're the person who wins the auction and you guess it does it still count or is that dude DSQ?

I'm thinking a hearty congratulations will be extended to the auction winner and they will not be eligible to win this fine pencil.
