    sorry not an Omega
    and not vintage
but surely -the phrase 'my wife doesn't understand me' has to apply here.....
Knowing my passion for Constellations -Mrs Peemacgee has sent me pics of her latest acquisition -which I think counts as a 'taunt' in anybody's language -grounds for divorce?
does this count as a Milanese bracelet?

Space black 42mm on link bracelet, getting a lot of use out of it, surprisingly the PVD coating hasn't shown a single mark yet, and I've knocked it around quite a lot

Yes, lights. It's a computer chip that happens to have a function that tells time amongst all the other apps.

In a way vintage watches are like wives.Old, reliable, well made and they will always have a place in your heart. On the other hand an apple is like a mistress, good for short periods of time and would just never make the grate of wife :)

Grounds for divorce? I'd say it would be a good defence for homicide.

After seeing this thread I don't feel so badly to occasionally wear the black-dial Seiko dress quartz watch my wife gave me many years ago, before I was fully committed to the vintage mechanical watch. It was my own fault I ended up with a quartz. While on a self-guided tour of the Normandy coast that year, the vintage watch I was wearing chose to die and she was making certain I had a dependable back-up.

That one does descend into the realm of taunting though, Peemacgee.

Yes, a pretend medical device, amongst other things, with built-in obsolescence that spends a good lot of its time on a charger if its functions are used too often. Good for those who are into toys that, ultimately, are supplanted by other toys, and those have not yet been through their Dick Tracy or Maxwell Smart periods.

Also a sneaky little device for unmannerly Jocks and Jockettes to take to restaurants and business meetings. Less obtrusive than a smart phone, they can now check their messages and fiddle with it a little more furtively while pretending to pay due respect and attention to others present. I got so annoyed with such behaviour at a recent business lunch that I asked the offender whether he thought I should have brought a book with me.

I don't know why they chose an Apple with a bite out of it for their symbol. Remember Eve and what caused the expulsion from Eden? :p ::stirthepot:: Maybe their catchphrase should be "MacIntosh - the end of paradise!". :D

..... and yes, I am typing this post on a MacBook Pro. :whistling:

The photo below illustrates why I will probably not buy an Apple Watch
    IMG_0260_fitbit.jpg

For me personally, the most compelling features of the Apple Watch that I've seen to date are its health monitoring capabilities. But, thanks to the God who made me, I have another wrist!

Believe me -- I thought long and hard about whether to buy an Apple Watch or not. This is from a guy who has purchased just about every gadget and computer type Apple has ever made since the early 1990s (no, I never bought a Lisa or a Newton). However, I'm way too enamored with mechanical watches to ever want to ever go back to silicon for timekeeping again.

@Peemacgee and Mrs.peemacgee -- the Apple Watch with Milanese bracelet is really quite lovely -- certainly a watch to be worn with pride :)
