Hi guys, I just saw a post on omega enthusiast's Instagram showing a grey dial seamaster 600. The dial seems to play with light and exhibits dark grey or black at certain angle. It isn't something I see regularly, so I am curious… Does anyone know anything about this reference?

Standard 600 case ref - 135.011 or similar with uncommon grey dial.

I missed out on one a year or so ago. They do occasionally come up. Beware as there is also a 31/32mm version.

    Sometimes called a "shantung" dial.
I just got one myself, at the watchmaker for getting original hands and crown, and a new crystal. IMG_2711.jpg

If it's anything omega Enthusiast is a great guy. Legit and does his own servicing. Prices are high but it's quality

Totally agree, he was super friendly and communicative over instagram and email. I almost pull the trigger a while back, but someone grabbed the piece I was eyeing on before me.

That type of grey dial is also seen on the Seamaster 30

A third of the prize would be more realistic in my opinion

Charming dial but watch looks quite expensive to me...

    Here's mine. I prefer the non-original hands!

I almost went and bought it myself from Omega Enthusiast.

I've seen posters here say his pricing is expensive, so I'm wondering if there are any alternatives I'm missing? I'm a budding watch enthusiast and have yet to see anyone that can value proposition...

    - Freshly serviced (according to this forum carefully done) & with very clean looking watches
    - Authentic life-time warranty provided you service with him
    - $100USD service which sounds pretty reasonable.

From what I understand so far, getting something for$300-$600 USD is hit or miss and I'll still have to service it.

Tim Mackrain from OmegaAddict would be a good bet, do read the description though, sometimes a dial could be a restored dial, that information would be stated in the text.

of course, buying from forum members is always a good option, but likely there won't be a life time warranty

I messaged Omega Enthusiast about this piece and the price he quoted me was bordering on absurd. He seems like a great guy though and in his defense, it's a dial I've never seen before.
