Hi All, I've been a lurker on TZ and WUS for ages and stumbled upon this great forum just a few days ago. Anyway I thought I'd post a pic of part of my collection which includes a few Cal 321 Speedies, some 861's a set of three MK II's and some Seamaster Pro models. I look forward to joining in with some of the discussions! -Adam Left to Right 1967 Speedie, 1974 Speedie, Standard, Racing dial and Gold MK II's
Any man that loves Speedys that much can't be all bad. Welcome Adam. Tell us more about yourself and lets see those Speedys in action
Thanks guys, here are a few more photos. I used to have a small shop selling second hand watches. That was a couple of years ago now. I no doubt had to close it because I got too attached to the stock . Was forever talking people out of buying my favourites lol. There are only Omega's and Breitling's in my watch box now but I'm heading to Switzerland next week and Baselworld at the end of April so that may change! L to R 1964 straight lug, 1965, 1967, 1974 (the two from previous pic) and a 2000 Also you all might like this matching set of Omega's commissioned by Playboy
Thanks Ash and Dennis The Playboy Omegas have an inscription on the back with the employee's name, then, "with thanks - Hef" Apparently they were given to Casino and company employee's that gave 10 years of service. I've heard of and seen about five of the ladies version but only one of the men's style has come up. Makes sense I guess given there were something like 25,000 Playboy bunnies working at the various clubs over the years Most of the men would have been customers I suppose I'm hoping to find out a bit more about them when I go to the Omega museum in a couple of weeks.....the watches that is, not the bunnies
The men were probably pit bosses who supervised the Bunny dealers. It is not surprising that the men's versions would be very rare then. I'm very curious to see what you find out. gatorcpa
