Hi,
Not sure of the best place for this, so ill pop it here and see how we go.

I've recently received two watches back from Steve (N2FHL). While it did take a little longer than expected, I've been very happy with the end product. The watches are running bang on time after two weeks, the bracelet and case have been cleaned very well. He also carefully cleaned one of the dials (after obviously discussing it with me) to carefully remove some of the verdegris that was appearing on it.

Overall :馃憤:

I think this place while small compared to many forums does still eat watchmakers in terms of volume, Steve did a superb job on my father's Constellation Piepan too, its literally pegged at +2/day which is amazing for a 1957 model but much like Al Archer, there aren't enough hours of Steve's time to go around with the level of demand present for vintage Omega guys.

Just underscores the need for good independent watchmakers. He just got done my ss 168.005 and it looks great! The facets and edges are still very crisp, yet it's got some of that "ooooo, shiny!" factor. Looks like he's nearly caught up, and might even have time to post on the forum now & again.

Can we have some pictures of his work...? 馃槜

Wearing it today so it's in the WRUW thread, but here's a quick iPhone shot:

Yes, that's a Kelaran strap. 馃憤 Same one as on my Centenary - liked it so much I bought a couple.

Steve just did my soccer timer, full service, crown, pushers, crystal, case polish, running at +4 a day. Not only did a great job, but I made a friend.

Thanks, Ash, I'm actually not a tool watch guy and never wear it. I bought it new in '72 while serving overseas, wore it a few years and then headed to the sock drawer..
Steve has it looking good again.

Does Steve have a website? Is he located in the U.S.? And does he service anything other than Omega's? UG Tri-Compaxes, for example?

I don't think he has a website, he's located in New Jersey, and he services many brands. I've had him service my father's 2852 Constellation Piepan and its excellent, within chronometer specs for a 50 year old watch and winding and keeping its power reserve beautifully.

You can email him at

Don't be discouraged if it takes a while to hear from him, he is a busy man but well worth the wait.
Tell him I said hi
