Grandfathers WWII era Omega...Just looking for some info

I've inherited this Omega watch from my grandfather.
The story is that he bought it off a Polish soldier after the war, which seems plausible as there were Polish brigades stationed in Scotland.
The face features the words Hamiltons & Inches below the Omega logo.
Google searches say this might be a Calibre 30T2, but without opening up the back, I can't be sure.

Any other information that I can share with my father about the watch would be great.
Other than that, I'm thinking of mounting it as is into a small display case to have on my desk.

Need to get it open to check movement and number inside caseback for reference.

Why not get it serviced and wear it? Guessing small size?

No intention to wear it, yes because it's too small, and I wouldn't want to risk any damage or loss.

Also no intention to service or sell. Not even interested in getting it valued.
