Hey guys, My parents are posting me down my Grandfathers omega that I've recently inherited. Could anyone give me some information on the model and if it's worth fixing? I thinks it's late 70's?

It's your grandfather's watch so, in my opinion, worth getting to a watch maker to see if they can get it serviced. I've got my grandpa's Sandoz watch and, although it was working, still got it serviced at great expense (about 5 x what the watch is worth) because it's my grandpa's watch and I want to wear a small piece of family history on my wrist. Watch is pretty much worthless to anyone other than me and my brother.

It looks like a Seamaster 166.064. With a service and a new crystal, it will be a lovely way to remember your grandfather.

Very hard to tell if there is underlying dial damage- around 9:00 is the crystal completely broken at 9? Looks like it. But certainly worth an attempt at service I agree with above suggestions. Please share any "post" photos after service! And welcome to OF!!

Welcome to OF : also my opinion that this watch deserves a service in memory of your grandfather if you are prepared to wear it : this happened to me but if you are tight on money, you can have a cost evaluation made by a watchmaker prior to giving him your green light. My watchmaker does it for free.
