My Grandfather died thirty-seven years ago. Family legend has it that his trusty Omega Seamster 30 seized up and stopped working on the day he died. Apparently, since then it had been taken to several watch makers to see what could be done. Nobody could seem to get it working again.

Last year my Dad discovered it in a drawer and knowing of my recent interest in vintage watches passed it onto me to see if I could do anything with it. I'm very pleased to say that after a bit of research and a lovely movement service from a watch repair shop in Clerkenwell this little beauty is ticking again and bringing me joy daily.
