I did not note any threads over this stunning release, thought I would start one in the interest of other users or owners sharing information, or pictures or better yet videos of this noteworthy piece from Grand Seiko.

the depth of detail on the dial is just magnificent but the price premium frightens me! As someone who wasn't won over by the elegant subtlety of the snowflake, this on the other hand could be a flashier alternative.

    pics are promo pics.

Reminds me of “The wall” in Game of Thrones, or like a white walker dial, sort of like ancient ice. Not feeling the bracelet but the dial looks amazing.

Yes this is a winner. It was cracking my resolve not to add a significant piece till I saw the price.

Agree about the bracelet -- not sure what they were thinking there. It's an amazing dial, though.

great watch. but i prefer the Winter "seasons" release (SBGA415). i would venture to say no watch i own has gotten more wrist time since I bought it and that is saying quite a lot. and the titanium case and bracelet make it feel nearly weightless

The SLHG005 is indeed stunning and one I have my eye on. I think it's reasonably priced given the new movement and finishing.

Recently purchased the SBGA413 a few weeks back as my first grand seiko. Mesmerising dial with a subtle pink imbuement at certain angles. Certainly won't be my last GS

Grand Seiko making a lot of watches with unique dials. They continue to pick up attention and the quality of the product is excellent.

For some reason it’s not my fav. The dial looks like leather to me.

still a nice watch just not for me.

Same here. I already own the SBGA413 "Sakura" which is an amazing dial, and I really liked this dial in the pictures, till I saw the price, which is almost 50% more than my Sakura.

That said, it hasn't stopped this one from being incredibly popular. There are none in the boutiques in my country to look at (so I have to live with pictures), the 1st lot has sold out, orders are only being taken from June onwards, with delivery only in Dec!

This is one of the better videos taking an indepth look at the watch I've come across, the watch has this gothic look that I really find alluring!
