Hello OF, time to let this one go. These were made to commemorate the relaunching of the Grand Seiko brand separate from Seiko. There were 1960 of these made in steel and the watch was launched in 2017. 38 mm case with 11 mm thickness. Domed sapphire crystal and chamfered lugs. Manually wound 9S64 movement with 72 hour power reserve. Mine is a fully kit with outer white retailers box (usually thrown away), outside GS box, inner GS box, instructions, matching limited edition timing certificate and unsigned warranty cards, rice paper wrap, and hang tag. I'm asking 5950 USD including 2 day insured shipping the USA. International can be done at cost. Photos:
This is one of the craziest things I have ever seen on a watch; the raised logo sometimes looks white (so it blends into the white dial) and with a little hand movement, the font turns dark. I will always be amazed at how GS makes these little details so interesting and mesmerising to stare at.
Thanks guys, with regards to the 033, a lovely watch. But I think the 253 is a very different one. It's a true modern sized reinterpretation of the 3180. Here's how the 38mm case wears on my 7 inch wrist.
