Up for a very reluctant sale is my Grand Seiko SBGW047. This is a reissue of the Seiko 44GS, and is a limited edition of 700 pieces. These do not come up for sale often. One moment the markers are black, the next moment they’re silver with just a turn of the wrist. The polished and brushed case, with all the angles, is just amazing as well, as the reviewers (see links above) have mentioned. It follows the famous GS “Grammar of Design” philosophy, and the pictures in the reviews above do more justice to the watch than my amateur iPhone photos. The watch is in excellent condition. This is a LE, and mine is a low number (06x/700). The watch comes with everything, including white outer box, navy inner box, blue GS case, manual, and certificate. It even comes with both original hangtags, the original black straps, and even the translucent rice paper that the GS case was wrapped in. It also comes with a bespoke strap from Hughes Handcrafted (https://www.instagram.com/hughes_handcrafted/?hl=en), which has a cool blue lining. It will fit up to a 6.5” wrist. The bespoke strap is currently on the original GS buckle.I’m selling this as part of a consolidation. The watch was worn sparingly as part of a collection of >50 watches, so only worn a few times a year. This is a complete set (Hangtags! Rice paper wrapping!) which is good for either the casual wearer or the collector.
