There’s a significant part of story omitted i think.

Why ship in a prospex box?

And why does buyer already have the GS box and papers?
Not really omitted, just not that relevant. Not dissimilar to buying something while overseas and shipping the original empty packaging back home while wearing the item as one journeys through customs...

Seller shipped the watch via Fedex and the B&P by Singapore post. The parcel from regular mail arrived 2 weeks after the watch was due; the watch disappeared within the Fedex UK network and hasn't been seen since 🙁

I don't understand why the seller isn't on the hook for refunding your money. Did you instruct him to send it under-insured? Something's not adding up here.

Sadly, no... I did buy another Snowflake in a f2f transaction but this one is still missing...

Nope. The short version was the seller said he'd send it under the radar of customs, and I said OK. Fedex sent me some money commensurate with the value declared but lets just say it was a tiny amount of what it actually cost me. Last time I'll make that mistake.
