No caseback pic, hard pass.🙄 Oh yea, and the price is a tad prohibitive. 😁

It might be the angle of the shot, but nothing lines up on that watch and it bugs me on a aesthetic level. Should be interesting to see the end result.

Too many stars for me, Bigger ones look a touch comical to my eyes, pass.

Give me a plain dog leg any day over this.

Crown looks rose gold in color and stupid place for the Omega logo. Better at the top instead of the double bar index

The whole watch is rose gold 😁
Those dials are iconic, I like them. But the estimate...
And a bit polished around the lugs...

The point might be to make you feel dizzy— and it does.
Stunning in all senses of the word- but hard to find an occasion to wear it.

If I could afford that watch, I'd wear it every day! But make sure my wrist is covered before going outside. 😁

My head is spinning and I’m seeing stars and dollar signs in my head. What a thing of beauty and art.

Glad I'm not the only one. It's interesting for its rarity, but even if this was priced at melt value I'd take a nice 2852 over this any day

I’m guessing folks have also seen this ‘homage’ to the original coming up at Antiquorum this month but I’ll post it here for interest and comparison.
Wrong movt, wrong caseback, replica dial - a true frankenwatch.
Each to their own but to me this only serves to diminish the rather beautiful original.
Estimate $7000- $9000

Since we're comparing here, let's not forget this example which sold in the AQ April 15, 2007 auction (lot 160) for CHF 152,500 (including commission). It was a ref OT 2699, a reference rare in as of itself, and with those green infill stars:

That one was not a grand luxe, but a simple deluxe version, much preferrable imo.
