GQ: Combining Watches & Bracelets Feat our own Ahartfie

A GQ article looks at accessorising watches with bracelets, featuring our own @ahartfie in the article. I’m a big fan of this as blokes get very few opportunities to wear accessories, I’m also big on men wearing brooches to make suits more interesting too.

The watch with bracelet thing works for anyone whether casual or more formal so worth trying out as long as you make sure the bracelet you choose is not going to damage the watch.

I was very surprised when Victoria reached out to me but super pleased she asked for the Stardust and the Speedy. It was quite an honor for my small watch account.

Congratulations! I am not a fan of the look, but have never been featured in GQ. Hats off to you sir.

People should wear what they want and what they like, but you'd never find me wearing that kind of stuff next to my Omega or Rolex. The only jewelry I'd ever wear would be a nice wristwatch and a wedding ring.

Not my thing either, but nobody is mentioning my fashion in GQ either, as Duracuir mentioned. Or anyone, anywhere else, for that matter.

Congrats! You are a celebrity ahartfie!

Everyone has to find their own style that works for them, I had this discussion with a lot of people about brooches as mentioned because I had some really cool ones, and though I had a nice collection of Hermès ties, it's hot and humid here in Brisbane so during the summer months you want to have your top button open and no tie even at formal events if you can get away with it. Going with a PVD and rhodium brooch in a geometric pattern dressed up an open collar a bit and worked, so I was pretty happy when they started becoming mainstream in recent years.

It doesn't mean everyone has to like them, but more options for blokes to experiment a bit and add some personality to what can sometimes feel like a uniform in menswear is a good thing in my view. A bracelet stack or mixing some jewellery in with a watch is a similar thing, it just gives you more options for expression, though I have to say some of @ahartfie's watches like that 2.4Mhz Stardust are already such a star that its hard to notice the bracelets at times.

The article begins by declaring that “Watch enthusiasts are famously opinionated.”
I strongly disagree with that statement, and I’m prepared to debate it for the next three hours if necessary.

Congratulations Adam!
I do admire that red stones (rubies or garnets?) bracelet of yours everytime I see it in WRUW.

I've an idea in my head for making a bracelet out of old cufflinks. I've seen a few different ways of doing it but I'm thinking I might experiment by attaching them to a leather band first.
I'm terrible at getting projects past the ideas stage though.

You will never find your qualities (we've already concluded you're no detective) with this mindset.::stirthepot::

They’re rhodolite garnets, one of my most favorites. It took a good long search to find a bracelet long enough. I’m glad you appreciate them.
