    Hi,
Just wanted to get some thoughts on my first piece, found it online and managed to get a decent negotiated price (I think). From what I can tell from just online research, it seems legit but wanted to get opinions from folks here who are more familiar with Omegas than I am. Mainly got this watch because I really like the style from this period, and the small seconds dial in particular.

Watch is running smoothly, timed the seconds with my phone's stopwatch and it seemed pretty accurate.
Case is definitely polished (is that good/bad?) but it looks original, crown and back as well. Glass and gasket are new.
Attaching my photos here along with the inside photo from the seller (seller seems genuine, so taking their word for it for now until I can open it myself).

Ref: CK 2576-10, 36mm diameter, bumper movement, year: early 1950

    Thanks for the feedback!

Is the spacing of the A in AUTOMATIC a bit off?

A ref 2576 would have a 35 mm case, I think. Judging by the inner case back photo, this Omega is an uncommon ref 2764, 36 mm case.

    Congrats!

It does look that way doesn’t it. To my untrained eye everything else looks good.

Oooh that's interesting! I mis-typed, I meant 2765. It did came with an appraisal letter from OmegaAddict.com and it listed the piece as 2765-1.
Is there a distinction between 2765 vs 2764, and why you think this is less common? Just curious to know more about the history of the watch now.

Thats nice. I think these watches usually come in a smaller size making this one less common but im sure some of the more knowledgable people here will confirm or deny that. I have one of the regular sized ones and having real difficulty finding the right size of silver hands to match the bullseye dial which seems to be quite a common problem in other examples ive seen.

For a polished case, whoever did it did a fantastic job as it's still quite sharp.

A ref 2765 would have a center seconds bumper movement, probably a cal 354. The whole gamut of 2764 and 5 references is fairly uncommon - they're seen less often than their jumbo counterparts refs 2494 and 2657.
