About two months ago I was just about to fall asleep and when I rolled over I heard my SM300 rattle. It was rattling from the inside.........not good. I took it in to the dealer and they sent it back to Omega under warranty. I finally got it back on Friday. Nice to have it back. I didn't realize it was my favourite watch until I didn't have it to wear. I guess a set screw in the counterbalance came loose or something. There was just one line saying that and then slips that showed the time testing and pressure testing. Nice to have it back and to have been looked after so well.......
You are a bit more understanding than some folks are when their new Omega develops a problem during warranty!
It's a piece of machinery. Sooner or later it will need service. In my case it was sooner. Life is too short to worry about one little watch problem...
Glad you got it sorted. Going to get one of these in three weeks time. I decided to go for the spectre version. It will be my first modern omega. It's like being a little kid and waiting for Christmas.
I'm sure you'll be very pleased. I keep thinking I would like the rose gold version but, I haven't pulled the trigger yet. Household projects are hampering my addiction. Happy wife, happy..................
Happy for you! Unlike me I was one of the unlucky ones: -After 1 week, the 30-minute chronograph was sticky at around 28 minutes; It also came with the wrong date wheel. -Second submission for warranty: Sent back for regulation. Watch was running +8-1/2 seconds daily (out of COSC specs). Returned running +4 seconds daily (within -4/+6 COSC); large chronograph hand running -2 seconds vs. small second hand. That never got fixed -Third submission: 12-hour hand running -1/2 hour/day or minus 1-1/2 hours if left facing upwards for 24 hours (fully wound); large chronograph hand still running -2 seconds daily if worn. I have only owned this watch since end of April. Now who would be "understanding" after all of these things happening... Left with Omega Service Center 2 weeks ago. Still hoping everything turns out okay.
3603C movement (based on the 1185 Frederic Piguet movement) - Speedmaster HB-SIA Co-Axial with Date/GMT. This one.
I paid shipping as I didn't buy the watch from the local dealer. Otherwise it would have been free. It cost me $65 CDN to have it fixed
