Good UK watchmaker Bedford, Peterborough, Huntingdon area?

I have bought a few old pieces recently, so need work, or a service or some parts. One particular piece, sold as working and keeping good time, did exactly that. For 4 days. I discovered it stopped, almost fully wound.

I looked at the list of members at the BHI, which shows names and numbers only. Can anyone here recommend a good watchmaker in the UK East Midlands area? The internet brings up encouraging results for Clock Wise in Bedford & KH Richards near Peterborough - feedback from anyone who has used either of these would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Try Steve at Rytetime in Leicester. I’ve had 2 omegas serviced there in the past - excellent work done. No affillliataion, just a happy customer

Mitka has serviced one of mine and I've got another due to be serviced by him. Gets the work done promptly, provides plenty of photographs of the work as it progresses and is good value. Recommended

The Oundle clock shop in the high street. I can't remember the watchmaker's name but he's a good bloke and I've bought a few nice pieces there. They specialised in clocks in the past but in the last few years have also started selling and maintaining decent watches as well. Well worth the trip I think.

Thanks everyone for the leads - I’ll try some of these. Always good to hear someone else’s positives.
