I have this horrible feeling I’m embarrassing myself here :D

Isn’t this some version of the x33 ? Or is it just a fake POS ?

I'm puzzled as well. People sell non-working watches all the time, so this is confusing thread, for me at least!

The watch appears to be genuine by the way:

    Serial number: 57606970
    Article ref: 32905000

    So my answer to this:

    Is yes, please do...

I stand corrected. When I first saw this, I thought that it was a fake as I believe that the current version of the X33 has baton hands. Looking back at some photos, this does appear to be a legitimate version. I messaged the seller and he says that he doesn't really know anything about the watch, but got it from a jewelry store and an Omega AD that went out of business in 2006. The seller's lack of knowedge, and the fact that the watch doesn't work, made me wary, but I will happily defer to Al's opinion as to its authenticity. My apologies, gentlemen. My bad.

That I do not know, but it would seem to be a logical first step for the winning bidder. Whether it works or not, nice titanium bracelet. :)

Inversely, I have purchased a few watches that were mechanical and the seller listed it as parts for repair and said they hadn’t tested it with a battery so it doesn’t run- and they ran perfectly.
Of course, always assume any used
watch needs a service, but gambles like this can sometimes pay off....and sometimes can be a disaster.

I'm not a quartz guy, so assuming that a new battery won't turn this into a working watch, I have no idea what it would cost to repair or whether it can even be repaired. Obviously the bidding history indicates that there are buyers who think that they can do something with it.

470€ at most. That is what Omega will charge for a full service, and I do not see any point to pay more than that on an X33...

Not knowing how the auto-bid function fully works, but 12 rapid fire bids from what looks like the same person makes me a bit leery. Is that just how the system works if someone outbid them? It places all the incremental bids in succession?

Those bids were placed after the current winning bid. This thread is more “good grief” than the watch :whistling:
