Yep, I'm gonna post asking about a 1989 Gemini XI 20th Anniversary Speedmaster - but at least I'll add a picture! Only got one shot at Sam's shop today, but here it is: No box, papers, or patch - just the watch (LE #1710 / 2000). I think he's asking a price that's in line for that watch in nice condition without the goodies - $2300. It isn't serviced either. So what's the verdict - is that a fair price?
yeah, good price. wrong bracelet though. should come with a 1450 with 808 end links, but that may be accounted for in the price. the ones I've seen FS are usually around 2700 - 3900.
Well, I'm not buying it - but I figured it was a decent price and somebody here would like it. PM me for Sam's contact info.
Thread activity: 3 replies inside 10 minutes all saying to buy it because it's a good price. PMs activity: http://www.junglewalk.com/Asounds/cricket6.wav Guess it's not such a smokin' deal, eh?
Hey, is this called an Apollo XI? EDIT - answered my own question using this site: http://monochrome-watches.com/omega-speedmaster-history-part-3-rare-limited-editions/ so I changed the title.
This thread has 149 views now, and no questions via PM whatsoever. I think we learned a lot from that fact alone!
For some reason, these don't seem to move. There's one in the sales section that's been there for months..
