Rounded Logo was not used in the 50's, I am quite sure.

Quite cool... it reminds me less of a golf ball, more like a hammered "tsuiki" type finish as seen on the bezel and bracelet links of the crazy G-Shock Hammer Tone.

I agree - reminds of those "hand hammered wok" commercials I used to see on TV...

The dial also reminds me of a JLC Memovox, albeit with the textured centre rather than the alarm disc. Is this dial one-piece, or a separate outer and inner piece ?

Interested in the manufacturing process as well. Whichever way was used, the final result is quite unique!
