I just inherited a Seamaster 168.023 from my dad who wore it everyday while practicing medicine and had received it as a gift from my mom in the 1960's. Its in wonderful working condition considering its decades of use and I need any advice you can offer regarding routine servicing. I need someone ideally in Naples- Ft. Myers area of Florida. Thanks.

Welcome to OF!!

if it's in 'wonderful working condition', maybe forego a service for now? All these really need is a wind up for a few min to start up. As you may know, this watch winds when you wear it.

Enjoy your amazing heirloom.

Thanks everyone. I remember my dad telling me he would always get pulled aside entering USA at customs thinking he was smuggling in a watch he just bought and was trying to avoid declaring it and paying duty. He took to carrying the original receipt. LOL.

These are an awesome watch especially on the original bracelet! Great condition too, the Cal 751 is a great movement and shouldn鈥檛 be hard to get back into excellent shape after servicing by a qualified watchmaker. I鈥檓 not an expert on US watchmakers but I鈥檓 sure there are some Omega certified independents in that area.

Make sure it doesn鈥檛 get polished whatever you do!
