Hi, I am trying to find a gold bracelet to fit my Omega Seamaster about a 1975 that has a leather band but I think that it will look nice to have a bracelet on it it has 18mm lugs and I need it to fit my 8" wrist. Thanks again for your help and support Gary Brown

Hi Gary, vintage Omega bracelets, particularly gold ones, generally cost an arm and leg.

If you’re just 'thinking' that you’ll enjoy one, my suggestion would probably be to spend about £50 on an aftermarket gold coloured beads of rice bracelet and see if you like the look and feel of the watch before splurging on a genuine vintage gold bracelet.

Omega Seamaster about a 1975

That's pretty vague, we think much better with photos.

Ok thanks for the info. I just purchased the Watch and haven't received it yet supposed to be here on Tuesday and it has a black band on it .

Finding a vintage gold bracelet that will fit an 8" wrist makes it even more difficult, most bracelets are sized for wrists far smaller than yours and if there were links removed they are usually lost to time, or previously sold for scrap value.

We really don't know what type of Seamaster you have or what type of bracelet you want, but just given the price of gold and the size of your wrist, I think you are looking at roughly $2k at a minimum, and it won't be easy to find. I think it would only be worthwhile if the watch itself is very special and valuable.

Ok Dan, I am waiting on my Watch to be delivered Tuesday and then I will surely post a picture of my watch

You can sometimes find a vintage gold-fllled/plated bracelet, but usually they are in poor condition.

Here are two gold plated and gold filled Omega bracelets from 1971 Seamaster and C case Constellation 1970. Both were worn very lightly if at all. So they are out there but seldom in this shape, and you will need specific one for your case reference they don’t fit all watches due to shape differences of endlinks.
When you get watch have it opened and share the inside Caseback photo and we can look up bracelet for the watch to start the search. Need to get lucky.
