Going back to the the classic SMP.

For years, I wore a SMP 2531.80 as my primary daily watch. I have a few others, but the SMP was my favorite. This year it needed service. Instead of spending money on that, I decided to upgrade to a ceramic bezel, smooth-dialed SMPc.
No denying that it's a great-looking watch, but I just couldn't get used to it. Too pretty, too much like jewelry rather than a sport diver. It just doesn't have the character of the original.
I'm going back. Sold the new one and sent my old SMP out for service, like I should have to start with.

This is the SMPc that I just sold. I wore it on the "speedy" style bracelet, but sold it with the original. The older watch is away for service, but you know what they look like. 😉
