    ..was my initial thought.
This clearly illustrates why dealers are dealers and when they completely disconnect from the people who are collectors. 23k for a 1675..

I don't actively follow pricing of this model but i think that price may be justified as the listing states "This watch comes accompanied by its original box, signed chronometer certificate and Rolex guarantee booklet."

    Gilt dial + b&p = $$$$$

For a Rolex n00b, what should this cost?

I want to feel the same sense of shock as everyone else :)

I think this is not going to look out of whack for very long - the new Pepsi GMT is going to go ‘full Daytona’ as you can’t even get on waiting lists - so that will drag all prices up.

Also, I have to say, how often do you see box, papers and booklets for a 1675? I’m lucky enough to have bought a full set years ago ( I wanted it for a birth year watch), but I haven’t seen another one since. And I certainly wouldn’t sell it - in the hypothetical case that I needed to sell it, I would probably ask 25k at least ($)... I think that’s the ‘value’ if you really want all the accessories (debatable point, but if you want it, you want it ...)

The f*** yourself vanished from the title..understood, was too unpolite. But I am right, ain't I?
This is where we are, this is why I will never sell to dealers, "well known dealers"," reputable dealers" etc..

I think it's what you'd ask to start thinking about selling it, a hypothetical price to get you close to let go..if. They do ask a price they find adequate to accelerate the market and to pay the rent.

My how times have changed. Years ago, it was offensive to tell someone to "go fly a kite."

ugggh....I traded away my mint glossy GMT, before I realized the market left me behind. Based on what Ive seen lately, this will sell for close to the asking price :(

Some great brands that offer in-house calibers yet somehow have not skyrocketed to date:

Bulova (except for the rare divers)
Benrus (could be a parts issue)
Hamilton (except for the rarer & desired models)
    Certina (barely still affordable)
Eterna (barely, and only some models)
    Marvin (another parts problem)

.... and has everyone forgotten Seiko? The vintage hi-beats are very cool!

at what price is still the question. I really don't see why box, papers and some lyrical history telling could be worth roughly 8 or9 k Euro premium. I think this illustrates what is happening in the market and why I wouldn't support this form of..well, greed?
