Can you believe that there is 50 years age difference between these two GMT's? [IMG][IMG]

The 1675 has the original long E dial in it and was born in 1968.

As a fellow non-quickset owner, I commend you for taking the time to set the date to the 10th. That shows true commitment. ;)

    I can indeed believe that!
Amazing how Rolex did so lovely watches 50 years ago and so boring watches today...

That 1675 is a real beauty!

    Nice comparison.

That has to be one of the first GMTs delivered.

Not that I dislike the contemporary GMT but I find it too big for my taste.

I think it's a common feature of the font used by Rolex, I'm not a specialist of GMTs but on the Subs it also a 5 sided 4 on the insert

Maybe I'm daft, but what are 2 watches that are light years apart in style doing in a thread showing 2 Rolex Pepsi GMTs? Do you not get what the premise of this thread is? Or were you just looking for ANY reason to post a picture of a Speedmaster?

Not to be a pain, but the GMT had been around for 14 years when this watch came out. Even the 1675 had been around for 9.

Why would you need a reason to post a picture of a speedmaster. It is the Speedmaster forum after all.

Exactly the point ! Interesting to see the evolution in style and technology in only 25 years compared to the little evolution in 50 years. I have no problem with Speedmasters.
First commemorates 100 years and second 125 years of Omega, I thought it would be interesting to see the different paths taken by those two brands...
    Now since you tempt me...
