I recently inherited my father’s watch. He passed somewhat suddenly and when we learned his watch was at the watchmaker being serviced I went by and collected it. Somewhat to my surprise, as soon as I put it on I knew I couldn't take it off. 🥹 Most of that was emotion and the connection the watch gives me to his memory. But also it just feels great on my wrist. I haven’t had a Rolex for many years and this one just feels right.
So, my question is, I have the papers on the watch. It was sold in 1993 and is an N serial number and style 16713, color is two tone. But, I am seeing that should mean the numbers on the bezel would be gold. As you can see here, they are silver. Does this mean it was swapped by the seller, or my dad, at some point?
