I saw this globemaster for sale on Ebay before going to bed. It's now sold. Just for my own information, wondering if the dial was legit or a redial? Im leaning toward redial, but would be interested to hear your thoughts.
Oh man. Missed a good one. Was only 899. I thought I heard if the hour markers were rectangular and not circular it was a redial?
Not at 3, 6, 9 and 12. All the others are circular. The other tell is the word "Swiss" in very small letters under the 6. If the crystal has been changed, sometimes you can't even see it. Can't comment on the caseback as I can't see it. gatorcpa
Do you have the ebay link? Pictures are quite small to be certain if there are any circular/dot markers or any lume left. If no to both then a definite redial.

Many here including myself would have purchased that watch based solely on the dial. At least for me the caseback is a minor issue taking the dial condition into consideration.
Yeah, the medallion came from a later gold capped C-case constellation, but not that bad. The dial seems to have the correct font type, but having no circular/dot markers would make it the one and only of this type. Add to that apparently no more lume on dial, I'd pause before seeing better detailed pictures, beside finding at least one more example of this type of dial.
Just found another one with the same dial markings: https://www.ebay.com/itm/112053201550Purchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network This one comes with original paperwork, but dial not as nice. Also a much higher price. gatorcpa
Man, i think a lot of us here would have bought it in a heartbeat. Oh well. Anyone here in OF snagged this?
