Our postal service has safely delivered an early '50's Globemaster to its new home & custodian in So. Cal. Many thanks to former custodian, KyleL and those who weighed in with words of praise for KyleL and the Globemaster that was relocating from the East to the West. Here's a couple photo's offered as proof of the Globemaster's safe arrival.
Can't see the pictures but we know the watch already from Kyle's photos. Congrats on the purchase. I believe it is an underrated watch which carries a premium IMHO over a connie of the same vintage all other things being equal.
Like you should talk! I've been trying to pry that blue dialed 712 out of your grasp for a while now.
You are correct. Attachment issues, better known as anxiety, will not permit me to part with this watch. Aaah, yes my watch family has grown so much over the past couple much and they all be with me forever.
Glad to see it went to a great home. All you need is the proper crown and you're good to go. Congrats, gatorcpa Welcome to the Globemaster Society!
Well, thanks for the welcome. The guilloche dial on yours looks terrific BTW, Kyle was kind enough to also provide the correct crown & replacement crystal. Now it's up to me to get it over to my watch guy for the transformation...just not today.
Sorry CanberraOmega, not changing my mind on this one. It's good one and it came from an extraordinarily reliable source.
You can call "dibs" on it. If you don't know, that means if he ever sells it you would like to be the first person he contacts about buying it before it gets to the open market.
Thanks, I owe all to those that weighed in praise for the watch & it's former home with Kyle. It is even better up close & in person.
