Globemaster bracelet - where to get a discount? (UK)

Hi all,

This is my 1st post, so be gentle 😀

I am about to pull the trigger on a Globemaster on leather and am looking to buy the bracelet separately. When I inquired with the boutique they quoted an eyewatering £900 for a bracelet! The lady did say they had recently shot up in price.

Does anyone know of any Boutiques or outlets that may be prepared to sell me it for a reasonable price - apparently they were only £500 up until a few months ago.

Why not pull the trigger on a Globemaster with a Bracelet …. and then buy the Leather strap ?

I’ve been down that road before you and fully concur with @Omegafanman, buy your Globemaster on the bracelet first and either haggle on an extra leather strap and deployant clasp as part of the deal of just buy the strap later. See my Globemaster review if you want more info.

I got mine on braclet but very often I change it to other strap, not because it is bad but because I cant set it to my wrist size correctly. It is eather too big or too small.
What I want to say is dont buy bracelet untill you try few other straps. Maybe you will not need it.

But if you have option than go with braclet from start as it is best value for money option

Firstly great choice on the GM, I got my blue face GM at the beginning of the year and adore it. I had the same dilemma & took the advice of the very comprehensive review from @Longbow and got mine of a bracelet. I purchased a non Omega cordovan strap and deployant in Navy blue and haven't looked back. Cost me around £100 on Etsy...every now and again I must after the Omega leather alligator but to date have resisted in favour of my Cordovan strap.

Thanks for the advice. If I could find a GM on a bracelet for good money then I would go that way, however I have managed to get white faced GM for £3650 on leather strap ...... so I guess there's some room for me to pay over the odds for a bracelet? as much as that stings 🙁

As others have said, if you think you will want a bracelet, it is always cheaper to buy the watch on the bracelet.

If you do choose to buy the watch on the strap and then want to buy the bracelet, the cheapest option is very likely from the AD or Omega boutique. Why? Because resellers almost always jack up the price considerably for the “ease” of ordering g online. I’ve seen them marked up by as much as 25%. The only cheap way to buy a bracelet is to look here on the accessories subforum or EBay and see if someone is selling a used one. Just be aware that fakes do exist, so know what to look for to determine authenticity.

frankly, I think that watch looks best on a strap, so I wouldn’t bother with the bracelet.

that's the thing, in this case it is NOT cheapest to buy it on the bracelet. Even at the extortionate price of £900 it is still cheaper for me to buy the watch at £3650 + £900 than buy it on a bracelet...... it just stings ...... ALOT!

Shes arrived! I've taken your advice and not rushed into a bracelet just yet.

I'm enjoying the standard leather strap and have bought a few other various leather options (remarkably cheap compared to genuine omega straps).

Here she is on a red geckota strap......
