(I originally posted this by mistake in Watches for Sale. Rather than bump it there, I am listing it here since this is the more appropriate Forum.)

Up for sale is my lovely 1970s Girard Perregaux Gyromatic in near mint condition. It was NOS when I bought it, but I wore it twice and managed to get a couple of tiny scratches on the bezel and some hairlines on the case back (see marked photos). So, now you can wear it without guilt!

(Please note that I had to work hard to capture the marked scratches in the photos. They are not very noticeable to the naked eye.)

The watch had never been opened when I bought it so I had my watchmaker do a full service. It is now keeping great time and is ready to wear for years.

The most interesting thing about the watch IMO is the perfect sparkling brown dial. I have posted some close-up photos that show how beautiful it is.

The watch comes on a new brown leather strap that matches the dial perfectly and has the appropriate goldcolored buckle. Also included is the box and original hang tag.

Wears well at 38mm x 41mm. This watch has an elegant 1970s aesthetic.

Reduced to $949 net for the whole kit, including CONUS shipping. Shipping to other destinations at cost.

I'm not going to open this pristine beauty myself. I expect to see my watchmaker in a couple of weeks and I will ask him to open it for photos if the watch hasn't sold by then. 馃憤

I've handled this watch in the flesh and it's as clean of an example you could hope to find.

Really awesome pics in the post @rbob99, but it鈥檚 just so difficult to capture the depth and dynamic quality of the brown dial as light plays off of it!

GLWS!
