    Hey I have the chance to buy this for $45 it's dated 1975. Gyromatic. Was hoping if anyone could shed some opinions on whether it's a redial or not? Thanks!

    $45 ......! .....And you are worried its a redial ???

    Just buy it

    Polish / replace the crystal, and ask again

    GP know-it-alls are thin on the ground even on OF... That being said, I think it looks good.

    Likely not. By 1975 folks were throwing these antiquated, inaccurate, wind-up things away and buying quartz, rather than servicing or redialing them.

    Looks about right to me - the typeface of "Girard-Perregaux" is consistent with other vintage GP's
