Another chronograph consolidation, took a few months of deliberating before I decided to let this go but consolidation is a must! Background I bought this from a young chap in British Columbia, Canada. Originally found the listing on reddit and reached out to him. He originally bought it from the son of the original owner who inherited it 20+ years ago and it was worn quite sparingly after service in 2003, rest of the time it remained in the safe. The original owner was a family GP too! They don't come up for sale that often and the last two on chrono24 (while in a lot better condition than mine are asking for pretty high prices) From what I understand about 500 pieces of this were made though no one is sure whether this 500 consists of 500 each of the white and black dial or combined. When I first purchased the watch it came with an pretty ugly chrome crown and cracked crystal. I've had the crown replaced with one from a donor Gallet case I found on eBay and replaced the crystal too Condition report (pictures also form part of the description) There is even patina throughout the dial with some of it seen more clearly at an angle. The dial markings on the dial still quite clear Crystal and crown was replaced by my watchmaker in May 2021 Case and lugs have definitely had a polish before but still retains nice facets - part of the lower end of the 'H' on the back of the lug is polished off Lume on the dial lights up and fades evenly under UV light Hour and minute hands were re-lumed at some point in its lifespan and do not light up under UV Chronograph starts, stops and resets well!
