The more I look into Girard Perregaux Chronos the less I seem to know 🙁
Here is a recent discovery that ( to me ) has a very attractive and somewhat unique Dial
It is a GP4900, a reference I have come across many times
Does the No BJ-45 mean anything - in this case google was NOT my friend.
The seller wasn't much help?
Thanks

Could it be some sort of personalization? Yea I know it doesn't look very personal and more like an official issued type thing but the size and style of the engravings looks different than what the factory placed on the case back.

It's correct for the piece and it a unique identifier for Girard Perregaux watches. "No. BJ" & "No. AN" are commonly seen, and the numbers following will always be unique.

Good to know, do you agree with me that the Dial is somewhat uncommon for a 4900?

Literally not even close to what you said. You thought it was a personalization and you are wrong, it came from the factory like this and I wanted to be sure the poster had the correct info.

I suppose you're my forum stalker now... Apparently you felt slighted by something I said in the past that didn't even register for me.
Go ahead and set up a spare bed if I'm going to be living in your head like this.
