Hi all, I read the "http://www.fratellowatches.com/insi...rregaux-gyromatic-chronometer-hf-calibre-32a/" article, which I found very informative and left me feeling a little jealous to be quite honest.. I'd like to know what else anyone can tell me about this watch.. I know it's cal. 32.7, I haven't seen too many of these watches with that logo at 6 o'clock. I think must of seen one or two on eBay in the past 3 years. Btw... I really like the choice of brands this forum covers (Longines, Omega, Universal Genève, & Zenith) who ever's idea it was, it was brilliant!
The GP HF chronometers are excellent watches, and are capable of outstanding accuracy. The problem, which applies to all high-frequency movements, is that they are relatively difficult to service well. I'd recommend that you find a good watchmaker who has experience with them. Yours is an earlier version, as there is no "HF" on the dial, but the cool squiggle icon instead. I own four HF chronometers, two of which are hand-wind. Congratulations on a nice find, and good luck with the servicing! Tony C.
That is a really great watch, especially the movement. Hope you find a good watchmaker who smoke habanos to maintain it.
