New acquisition: A Gigandet Super Submarine Chronograph. Love the panda look and the red triangle/spot on the rotation bezel. Perfect size for my wrist at 40mm excluding crown. Does anyone know about this model? It seems super rare (excuse the pun) as I could only find one other one in a Google search. The one I found was identical minus the DEMAN extra signature on the dial. I guess Gigandet supplied this same model to Deman as well as selling it themselves... Does having this second brand on the dial adds or removes to the value?
Similar in style to the Nivada / Croton Chronomaster Aviator Diver. There were enough variations of these to justify a whole book recently (Chronomaster Only). The squared off hands on yours suggests the tail end of Chronomaster production, but more likely the follow-on generation. I bought a similar one recently with the Revue brand. I’d guess that mine is also a follow-on model to the Chronomaster series. What does your caseback look like? Here’s mine
Rarity often isn't equal to value, and all things being equal a better know brand will generally fetch more. That said, who gives a ? It looks to be in great condition, with a nice look. I especially like the applied "G" - well done and enjoy that beauty!
Looks somewhat reminiscent of the Wakmann/Gigandet "Big Boy". I guess it's just a different variation. Nice watch.
